ラジオDJ志望の大学生Keegan Friel氏によるスコティッシュバンド・音楽紹介番組。同氏によると、番組を始めた理由は大学卒業後にラジオ業界でDJ職を得る為に必要な経験を積むため、との事。
About Acoustic Scotcast よりPersonally I believe that the future radio hosts and DJs will originate from podcasting, as the internet is already becoming a great tool for bands to launch themselves, get themselves known and to kick start their career.
将来ラジオDJはポッドキャスト出身になると思う。丁度バンドにとってインターネットが知名度を上げたり実績を積む素晴らしい道具になりつつあるように。
音楽だけでなくinterviewを通じバンド自体も紹介する。「IntroCast」と名付けられた配信第一回目が番組の自己紹介になっている点も面白い。Keegan Friel氏は他にもtartanpodcast #83 (mp3)、Amplificast #5 (mp3)にinterviewerとして貢献している。
